Knock, and It Shall Be Opened Unto You
$31.00
The mystery of God and the mystery of man urgently occupy our minds. We are astonished before the indescribable humility of the Incarnate Word and His love that is crucified unto the end. As a refuge in our struggle, we have the words of Scripture, the invocation of the all-holy Name of the Lord, and the Mysteries of our Church. In the fierce tempest of the times, we are safely established on the unshakeable rock of the word of our Holy Fathers. This word opens new horizons before us and helps us to understand our painful sufferings as the path to the blessedness of the Day of the Lord. It initiates us into the otherness of the spotless love of Christ while at the same time chastising us so we may be freed from the suffocating embrace of self-love and embrace our brethren with brotherly love in Christ.
In the modern era, everything around us is shaken, and values are being levelled. Yet, within the bosom of the Church, we have peace because we know from the experience and the words of our Saints that throughout the ages, the ‘fierce storm has never overwhelmed the vessel of the Church, but the Church has calmed the storm.’ And as we see misfortunes increasing, we lift up our heads with hope toward heaven, knowing from the unfailing word of Almighty Jesus that ‘our redemption draweth nigh’.

Erin Maria (verified owner) –
This book is a prophetic gem and generous offering of theology of the life in Christ in the daily trenches of modern life. If read slowly and prayerfully, these words help lift the spirit to the places where eagles soar and angels dwell, for our life in Christ is a continual process of drawing deeper from the wellspring of His love to render us more capable of keeping the pilot light of His Word continually lit within the deepest reaches of the heart.

The questions and answers are thought provoking and the answers are educational and spiritual. An excellent book. It directs our life in Christ.
